The narrow end of the sponge is used to pick up foundation from the back of the hand and apply it to the face, one section at a time.

The sponge maintains its form after repeated washings. It can be washed easily with mild soap and warm water, followed by air drying after each use. The sponge should be replaced when it begins to “peel” or lose firmness.
